About silk painting: I use a water-based resist (also called gutta) in a squeeze bottle to draw the outlines as the first step, and then mix colors of silk dye and use Asian calligraphy brushes to paint in the colors. Painted on 100% crepe de chine silk. Next it will be steamed to set the colors, now that it's all done.
