While Rocket League has a native version for Linux using OpenGL, it is now possible to run the Windows version thru Steam Play/Proton and get a massive boost in performance using D9VK (put this in the launch options: PROTON_USE_D9VK=1 %command%). The video was captured with OBS and the framerate that you observe is not representative of the actual game framerate (i.e. any frame stutter caused by nv_enc or OBS did not occur on screen at all - the gaming sessions was smooth from beginning to end). Configuration: OS: Solus 4.0, CPU: Xeon W3690, Nvidia GTX1060, Drivers 430.x Full Article Here: https://boilingsteam.com/rocket-league-with-d9vk-better-than-native/
