Dana International's song "Love Boy" / "לאב בוי", a 2008 single, originally from the album הכל זה לטובה released in 2007 in Israel. This song is in Modern Israeli Hebrew, and unlike her song Diva there is no English version. I do have to say, great song, great video, and, the guys in the video are hot as hell 11/10. As a member of the Teen Girl Squad once said, "I have a crush on every boy." Why the video isn't itself explicit, it is suited more for those 13+. WHAT I STARTED FROM AND HOW I DID IT: I started from the best quality video available, which was terrible. It was very low resolution, noisy, there were compression and conversion artifacts. The format was PAL video at a resolution 640x360. The quality was somewhere between a DVD and a VideoCD. Really it was more like between a VideoCD and a RealVideo encoded at ISDN (128kbps total) bitrate. The sound was definitely like a RealVideo at ISDN bitrate. Since I do my best when I go way too far, I shouted YOLO, and I pumped my fists, and said my motto "Go Big Or Go Home"! I gave 110%, and I decided to make things be bigger than prudent or necessary. My workflow for this video (most videos I upscale are similar) is to use avisynth processing to clean up the original video as best I could without losing detail, then perform AI upscaling, then do one more round of avisynth processing for sharpening and removal of artifacts, and more processing with NVEncc64's VPP filters to clean a few things up and add in a warpsharpening. I enlarged the video to 4K UltraHD 3840x2160 and got it at a quality I like. The audio also had been compressed a few times and had some noise and artifacts and a tinnyness to it, so I had to process the audio too. Also I wrote two sets of lyrics (Original Hebrew and English translation) and timed them. Then I muxed every part together and that was it. If you're going to do something similar on Linux using Linux only tools, you'll need to use vapoursynth instead of avisynth and use their excellent set of plugins to do what I accomplished. The only choices I know of for Linux for AI upscaling involve vapoursynth plugins derived from waifu2x-caffe, which do work for live action but work better for animation. I do believe there are more options available under linux now. If you do use a waifu2x based plugin make sure you use one that takes advantage of your GPU because it will be inordinately faster, maybe 100x faster, than using your CPU.
